Spitalhof

The first documented mention of the “New Hospital” dates from 1333. It served as a hospital, and later the upper classes used the hospital as a home for the elderly. From 1922 to 1978, the hospital was used as a community education center. Today, the main stage of the Reutlingen theater, known as “Die Tonne”, is located in the basement, and the Spitalhofsaal is used for events.
